CIF Coaching Education Program
All Coaches, paid or unpaid, must be certified in Coaches Education by December 31, 2008. Coaches can now become certified online for $52 or in a classroom setting by one of California's Instructors. Click the links below for more information.

Click on the appropriate link below to verify that your coaches have completed a CIF-approved coaching education program, including the CIF rules exam. As a reminder, all coaches must be complete a course and be certified no later than December 31, 2008.

After selecting the proper link for the type of course taken, type the coach's last name and California in the box for state and the search engine will provide the updated listing. Only those coaches who have successfully completed the class and passed the exams will be listed.
Mandatory Football and Volleyball Officials Meetings
A representative from all officials organizations that support football and volleyball are required to attend a mandatory rules interpretation meeting. Select the appropriate link below for the meeting dates/times in your geographic area.
The Case for High School Activities ...
At a cost of only one to three percent (or less in many cases) of an overall school's budget, high school activity programs are one of the best bargains around. It is in these vital programs where young people learn lifelong lessons as important as those taught in the classroom.
School administrators are encouraged to look at the following link from the NFHS on the importance and benefit of participation high school activities.

CIF Handbooks For Transfer Eligibility Bylaws
Statewide bylaws are now in effect regarding high school student-athlete transfer eligibility. The following handbooks are provided as guidelines to assist in understanding the transfer eligibility standards and the process that CIF-member schools and administrators follow in determing transfer eligibility.
The month of July is a dead period with regard to transfer eligibility.
No appeals will be heard or processed during this time due to
CIF Section offices and schools being closed for the summer.
These handbooks should not be considered as a legal reference and are merely guidelines to better understanding of CIF Transfer Eligibility.
