BAKERSFIELD, CALIF. — The CIF State Wrestling Championships concluded on Saturday as the Buchanan boys won their 10^th State title with 288.5 points. Rounding out the top three boys teams were Poway (229.5 points) and St. John Bosco (219.5 points), securing second and third place, respectively. For the girls, Buchanan won their first State Championship, scoring 147.5 points, followed by Marina (109 points), with Northview and Orange Vista tying for third place.

Leilani Lemus (170-pounds), a senior from Clovis, became only the fifth girls wrestler in championship history to win four State titles. Yzabella Austin (140-pounds), a senior from Hughson, won her third State Championship (6^th all-time). While Rocklin Zinkin (120-pounds), a senior from Buchanan, became only the 25^th boys three-time State Champ.

Additionally, Alexandria Marin (100-pounds) from Buchanan and Michael Bernabe (106-pounds) from Clovis became the 19^th freshman girl and 20^th freshman boy to win a state title.
